Ring Groups

A Ring Group sends an incoming call to multiple extensions at the same time (or in sequence), until one answers.

Adding a Ring Group

  1. Go to PBX → Ring Groups
  2. Click Add Ring Group
  3. Configure the group and add members

Key Fields

Field Description
Name Descriptive label (e.g. “Sales Team”)
Extension The number callers dial to reach this group
Ring Strategy simultaneous — ring all at once; sequence — ring one by one
Timeout Seconds to ring before going to the timeout destination
Timeout Destination Where to send the call if no one answers (e.g. voicemail, IVR)

Members

Add each extension that belongs to this group. For sequence strategy, order determines who rings first.

Use Cases

  • Sales team — all sales reps ring at once; first to answer gets the call
  • Support escalation — ring tier-1, then tier-2 if no answer
