Click-to-Call
Click-to-Call starts a call from the ICTPBX portal. You enter an extension and a number on PBX → Realtime. ICTPBX rings that extension first, and once it's answered, it dials the number. The extension needs a registered phone or softphone, or the call is refused.
Click-to-Call suits admins and tenant admins who spend their day in the portal and don't want to dial by hand. The phone you already use rings, then connects.
What you get
Call from the portal
Open PBX → Realtime, enter your extension and the number, and click Call. Your desk phone or webphone rings, then connects to the other party.Needs a registered phone
The server places both legs of the call, so you don't dial anything yourself. Your extension does need a registered desk phone or softphone, though. If nothing's registered, ICTPBX refuses the call.Uses your real extension
The call starts on your extension and lands in the CDR like any other call. The caller ID people see comes from the trunk's Outbound Caller ID.Pairs with the webphone
Combine Click-to-Call with the built-in WebRTC softphone for full browser calling, with no desktop install at all.Frequently asked questions
You need a phone registered to your extension, such as the built-in webphone or a desk phone. ICTPBX rings it first, then connects the call. If nothing's registered, the call is refused.
Yes. Click-to-Call uses your extension, so it appears in the PBX CDR reports alongside the rest of your calls.
You start it from PBX → Realtime in the portal. The server rings your extension, then dials the number you entered. Integrators can do the same with POST /api/call/originate, sending from_ext and to_number.
No. Click-to-Call is part of the platform and uses your existing trunk and extension.
