Multi-tenant PBX billing lets you sell phone service as a packaged product. In ICTPBX you define a package, set resource limits, assign it to a tenant, and meter usage as customers consume it. That turns your PBX software from an internal tool into something you can price, bill, and grow. Here’s how it works.
Why packaged billing matters for providers
If you’re an ISP or ITSP serving many customers, billing is the difference between a phone system and a business. Without built-in billing you bolt a separate platform onto your PBX and keep two systems in sync. ICTPBX includes packages and subscriptions, so you define a plan once and reuse it across every tenant from the same dashboard.
What a package controls
A package sets limits across the resources a tenant uses: voice minutes, fax pages, extensions, SIP trunks, DIDs, and other quotas. You build the plan once, then assign it to as many customers as you like. Because the limits live with the package, changing a plan updates every tenant on it, instead of editing accounts one by one.
Subscriptions and plan changes
Each tenant gets a subscription tied to a package. When a customer grows and needs more minutes or extensions, you reassign them to a higher plan, and the new limits apply right away. Downgrades work the same way. There’s no need to rebuild the account or migrate settings.
Metering usage
Usage is deducted as customers consume it. Voice minutes and fax pages are metered against the plan, so you can see what a tenant has used and what’s left. That gives you the data to bill accurately and to spot a customer who’s ready for an upsell.
Pricing your own plans
Because billing is built in, you set the retail price and keep the margin. You decide what a plan costs, what it includes, and how it maps to your market. Our own pricing page shows how this model works in practice, with no per-user licensing on the software itself.
Frequently asked questions
What resources can a package limit?
A package can cap voice minutes, fax pages, extensions, SIP trunks, DIDs, and other per-tenant resources, so each plan reflects exactly what a customer is paying for.
Can I change a tenant’s plan later?
Yes. You reassign the tenant to a different package and the new limits apply immediately, with no account rebuild.
Does ICTPBX meter usage?
Yes. Voice minutes and fax pages are deducted as they’re used, so you always know a tenant’s remaining balance.
Do I need a separate billing system?
No. Packages and subscriptions are built into ICTPBX, so you can package and bill service from the same platform you use to manage tenants.
